Measures Taken Against the Pandemic COVID-19 in Ubatuba!


We inform that Ubatuba already has suspected cases of COVID-19, being the total of 34 suspicions until today, 03/24/2020. There are still no confirmed cases of the disease. Despite the low occurrence, the Ubatuba City Hall is already taking preventive actions to avoid as much as possible the circulation of the pandemic in the coastal region.


On March 19, a sanitary barrier was started in the city's territorial boundaries, as recommended by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency).

A Crisis Management Committee was also set up, composed of the mayor, the chief of staff, and the Secretaries of Government, Legal Affairs, Health, Education, Public Security and Social Defense, Communication, Social Assistance, and Tourism, by means of decree no. 7307/2020.

Check out all the preventive measures that are being divulged by health agencies, in order to reinforce the population's awareness:


- Wash hands frequently, for at least 20 seconds.

- Use alcohol or alcohol gel, in environments without bathroom access for sanitizing.

- More constant cleaning of the rooms in the house.

- More constant cleaning of clothes, shoes, sheets, towels, etc.

- Do not buy items from supermarkets and pharmacies, such as alcohol and food, on a large scale. Everyone needs to have access!

- People with suspicious initial symptoms need to stay in a specific room of the house more often and wear masks.

- People with severe symptoms and those in risk groups need to go to the emergency room immediately.

- Avoid using cash and sanitize your hands after touching notes and coins.

- Avoid putting your hands on your face.

- Keep rooms ventilated.

- Drink plenty of water.

- Check the veracity of the information and news you receive. Always wait for official confirmation from health agencies. Avoid fake news!

- Despite the great mobilization against the pandemic, there is no reason to panic! Be rational and follow the prevention recommendations to the letter.
