Ubatuba's Economy: why you should invest here?

If you have not yet visited Ubatuba, a city located on the northern coast of São Paulo, 262 km from the capital, you don't know what you are missing.

The municipality offers an extensive coastline, with more than 100 beautiful beaches available to all profiles, whether for families with children, surfers, couples, or retirees. In addition, Ubatuba's balanced economy has attracted new residents due to its orderly growth, structural improvements, reform of the coastline, and expansion of the airport.

To learn more, read our post and check out several reasons to invest in Ubatuba.

See why you should invest in Ubatuba

Ubatuba's economy has grown solidly and attracted several investments to the city. This makes the region a great place not only for living, but also for those who want to make their money work.

If you want to invest in real estate, here are the reasons why you should consider Ubatuba.

City in expansion

The city's beaches are a true paradise. The sea is blue, surrounded by green hills of preserved Atlantic Forest, with islands and islets all around. In Ubatuba, there is no lack of entertainment options. For this reason, the city has been attracting more and more people who, at first, are on a trip, but then become enchanted and decide to live there.

Besides this, Ubatuba also offers good options for courses and access to knowledge related to the sea. To this end, it has an aquarium with training and internship programs, with visitation rights, and a Tamar Project headquarters, also open to visitation, where professionals in the area treat sea turtles.

Retirees and families seeking to leave the hustle and bustle of large urban centers to live in a safer and more peaceful place are also investing in the city, which contributes to the expansion of Ubatuba's economy.

Therefore, with the region's charms being increasingly discovered, the population has grown significantly, which generates new businesses and jobs, especially in the service sector.

Here's a hint: there is an application called Caminhos de Ubatuba that contains information about the city, and especially about the beaches.

Investment in infrastructure

The city government is closely following the city's growth and creating several strategies to increase the comfort of residents and tourists. To this end, it has undertaken projects to revitalize the waterfront, the corridor of stores leading to the mall, and the expansion of the airport, among others.

Revitalizing the waterfront

In the revitalization process of the Cruzeiro and Itaguá beaches' waterfront, the following projects are planned: the construction of an indigenous memorial, an arborism area, kiosks with transparent and modern structures for merchants, a surf gallery, an event square, a parking lot, a tourist information center, etc.

To comply with urban mobility standards and provide comfort to those who are in the city, projects were developed to improve the central median, sidewalks, bike lanes, and lighting. There was also a significant investment to remodel the Pier, which today receives cruise ships from all over the world.

Airport expansion

The Gastão Madeira Airport, in Ubatuba, used to operate, up to now, receiving only small planes, generally coming from the airports of Congonhas (São Paulo) and Cumbica (Guarulhos) "on demand".

The expansion, whose construction work is scheduled to begin in 2019, will have an investment of 80 million reais, and the intention is to have an even greater growth in the number of users and flights at the site and a significant improvement in the economy of Ubatuba.

With the increase in the terminal, improvement in the infrastructure, and construction of hangars, there will certainly be more comfort for those who live in Ubatuba or visit the city. This will be the best way, by the way, to escape the heavy traffic of São Paulo during the high season.

Shopping Corridor

The Cruzeiro and Itaguá waterfronts will also have an organized commercial corridor, with a Boulevard connecting the stores to the shopping center. It will be built on the main shore, increasing the leisure options in the days when the sun decides not to show up.

Square meter price

Compared to other cities on the northern coast, such as Ilha Bela and Caraguatatuba, Ubatuba has a great cost-benefit ratio for real estate, especially new properties, since the average price in the region is lower than in these other cities, and its infrastructure is better than Caraguatatuba's.

Learn how to choose the right property for you

Choosing the ideal property depends, mainly, on understanding your profile. To begin with, it is necessary to understand if you want to acquire a property to rent or resell, if you intend to live there or spend some time there, if you have a family or are single, if you are a surfer, and what your habits are.

Sound complicated? Don't worry, we at A3 Construtora e Incorporadora are here to help you indicating neighborhood, type of property, and income range. To start, we will quickly present some profiles and their respective neighborhoods so you can better understand in which one to invest.

Perequê Açú

If you are moving to the city and have small children, perhaps Perequê Açú is the most appropriate neighborhood for your family. The beach is quiet, and the region has several conveniences, such as kiosks, stores, gas stations, supermarkets, health centers and restaurants.

The neighborhood is also interesting for those who are enjoying the vacations with children, as it offers units with 1 and 2 bedrooms, also in duplex. Recently, we launched in the region the Matira Beach Residence, which, due to its great success, already has 55% of the units sold.

Toninhas

The neighborhood of Toninhas, where we will soon have a launch, is indicated for those who are fans of surfing, especially young people and beginners, since it is a place where lovers of the sport gather to enjoy the sea and get connected.

Itaguá

For those who are going to rent or resell the property, the indication is the district of Itaguá, near some of the city's tourist attractions, such as the Tamar project, the Aquarium, several kiosks, the mall, the skateboarding track, among others. Such factors are interesting for those who will visit the city for a few days and intend to do part of the tours on foot.

In Itaguá, properties with different sizes and characteristics are available, such as the Cancun, for example. As for the financial contribution, it is important to point out that units closer to the sea are always more expensive, but there are options a little further away that can be interesting and meet your demand and that of your family.

Finally, we remind you that buying real estate is a safe and profitable form of investment, and in this context, then, it can be a great business.

As you can see, the economy of Ubatuba has received several investments, making the place a good option for those who want to buy a property to resell or rent. If you opt for renting, for example, you can still choose between traditional renting and seasonal renting, which has become a great way to increase profits.
